As a George W. Bush Institute Scholar in the 2021 Stand-To Veteran Leadership Program, he is recognized for his impact in improving veteran healthcare access and outcomes.

Dr. Latif has made a notable mark by co-founding and growing two national clinical programs tailored for active-duty service members (ADSM) and veterans: Help for Heroes and Freedom Care. Under his guidance, these programs expanded to multiple locations, serving over 100 national and international installations.

Currently, Dr Latif is the Chief Medical Officer at Enterhealth, a comprehensive dual diagnosis residential treatment program. He holds an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor at Texas A&M SOM, where he precepts medical students. Additionally, Dr. Latif chairs The Headstrong Project’s Scientific Advisory Board.

His background uniquely equips him to serve as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors at Psych Armor, where his experience over the span of 20 years in developing impactful clinical programs strengthens the organization’s efforts to bridge gaps in understanding and support for military and veteran communities through innovative education.

Dr. Latif completed his residency at Wayne State University and his fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He lives in Dallas and in his spare time enjoys international travel with his family. He is the proud father of two college children who are pursuing future careers in medicine and mental health counseling.
