Custom Courses
How does PsychArmor create new courses?
Courses are created in response to identified needs in the military-connected community in partnership with foundations, government agencies, Veteran and military service organizations, corporations, or private donors. PsychArmor courses are carefully guided by clinical psychologists, Veterans, military and subject matter experts from the private and public sectors. PsychArmor utilizes a human-centered design approach, data-driven and trauma-informed, and the public health model of preventative intervention to ensure behavior change.
What does the course development process look like?
PsychArmor courses are developed across a 12-18 month timeline from data collection through implementation and dissemination. The process begins when funding is secured to address an identified need affecting military-connected communities. First, the PA team will collect quantitative and qualitative data from key stakeholders through multiple methods including surveys, interviews, and research. This data informs the content/script which is then reviewed by an advisory panel of subject matter experts. Course creation is done in-house by our team of graphic designers with oversight from our in-house learning design experts, ensuring that our curriculum will affect behavior changes among our learner population. Final courses are posted on our online learning library–free to individual learners–and hosted on partner sites as requested.
