PsychArmor Relaunches Caregiver Recognition Award Program

USAA Foundation, Elizabeth Dole Foundation continue partnership with newly digitized program

SAN DIEGO, CA - PsychArmor relaunched their Caregiver Recognition Award Program in a new, seamless, all-digital format. Originally launched in 2018, the Caregiver Recognition Award program offers military and Veteran caregivers free online courses by nationally recognized experts. Provided by PsychArmor, in partnership with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation Hidden Heroes campaign, and sponsored by The USAA Foundation, these courses cover a wide array of caregiving issues, such as financial literacy, mental health, suicide prevention, and intimacy.

Previously, caregivers who completed the courses were mailed a Certificate of Achievement, signed by Senator Elizabeth Dole and Dr. Tina Atherall, as well as a resource binder.  The certificate and resource information are now online, allowing learners to access programs and resources from multiple organizations through a single online portal.

Upon completion of the four PsychArmor courses included in this program, learners are prompted to register for the Elizabeth Dole Foundation's Hidden Heroes program and gain access to a digital resource guide. Each learner also receives a digital Certificate of Achievement badge that can be displayed on Linked In or other social media channels.

As the premier learning platform for military cultural competency, PsychArmor is committed to providing education, resources, and strategies for those who provide care for our nation’s wounded, ill, and injured military service members and Veterans. “Thanks to the USAA Foundation, we are pleased to be able to make these critical resources for caregivers more easily accessible,” says PsychArmor Director of Programs Jenna Pryor. “The caregiving journey can be challenging. We’re here to provide support.”

PsychArmor is a leading national nonprofit and preferred training provider which specializes in military cultural awareness and competency. Its offerings include online courses, curricula, podcasts, webinars, live speaking engagements, and social media.
