Kathleen Fox

Kathleen represents PsychArmor as an Outreach Consultant for the Washington, DC metro area, joining our team in August 2024.  A military child, a Gold Star sibling, and a veteran caregiver to her combat-wounded Marine husband means Kathleen brings a level of knowledge of the military world that few can match.

As the daughter of a career Marine Infantry Officer, she moved every two years from kindergarten through college. She spent two years overseas in Mons, Belgium and attended three different high schools. Both of her older brothers went on to join the Marine Corps, her oldest sibling currently serving in Quantico, VA. In 2010 Kathleen’s brother Robert was serving as an infantry platoon commander with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines when he was killed in action in Sangin, Afghanistan - his third combat deployment.

After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Florida State University, Kathleen took a different path with her service and worked as a staffer for the House Armed Services Committee, focusing her time and efforts on the Military Personnel Subcommittee and development of DOD’s support for wounded service members.  She went on to work for the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces at both their National Headquarters and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.  Most recently, Kathleen served with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Hostage Rescue Team in Quantico, VA, extending her passion to serve the law enforcement community as well as the military.

Kathleen currently lives in Virginia with her husband, two children and chocolate lab, Gillie. An avid reader, she loves to browse her local bookstores, spend time with her family, and keep up the miles with TeamKelly - a memorial running team honoring her brother she has led since 2011.
