Relias Announces Content Partnership With Military Community Nonprofit, PsychArmor
Healthcare workforce enablement company joins nationally recognized nonprofit to offer military-focused behavioral health content
Relias, the trusted education and workforce enablement partner to more than 11,000 healthcare and human service organizations and 4.5 million caregivers, announced today that it has partnered with PsychArmor, a training provider and developer of educational content designed to support the unique needs of active-duty members of the armed forces, veterans, and their families.
These groups often face disparities in mental health care due to the unique circumstances of the events they’ve experienced or a general unfamiliarity with military culture.
This partnership enables Relias to foster better care by bolstering its existing military learning content for behavioral healthcare providers working with active-duty military personnel and veterans. Content from Relias and PsychArmor will better support behavioral health and other healthcare clinicians who may not be familiar with treating the military community.
“PsychArmor’s training is the gold standard for ensuring that healthcare and behavioral health providers, as well as employers, are culturally responsive to our nation’s veteran and military communities,” said veteran Yami Rivas, Chief Product and Innovation Officer at PsychArmor. “Our partnership with Relias brings our education and training solutions to their expansive audience in a way that will benefit military and veteran communities across the nation. This will allow our work and impact to be even more accessible.”
Trainings will be available via the Relias Platform — Relias’ all-in-one management portal dedicated to both administrators and learners. Many new grant programs, including the expansion of Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers (CCBHCs) require training on military culture and treating veterans, military members, and their families. Delivering these resources on the Relias Platform will allow Relias customers to conveniently assign and track training on important course topics like these.
“Anything that helps veterans and those actively serving get the help they need is always welcome — and always needed,” said veteran Dave Moore, Vice President of Enterprise Client Success at Relias. “Ensuring that those who work with our community receive excellent training and understand how best to offer the care and attention we need and deserve is critical. Everyone here at Relias is really excited to be partnering with PsychArmor because they bring exactly the kind of transformative, quality content that truly makes a difference.”
The partnership was finalized in July, and content will begin rolling out to Relias clients and Platform users November 2023.
“At PsychArmor, our dream has always been to increase the number of healthcare and behavioral health providers that have military culture training from less than 12% to 100%,” said Tina Atherall, DSW, LCSW and CEO at PsychArmor. “Relias is the right partner to achieve this gap to goal dream and realize our mission to train a grateful nation.”
