/ Our Impact
Since 2013, PsychArmor has partnered with leading organizations – from federal and state governments to Fortune 50 companies to academia – to leverage education and training to empower military connected individuals and civilians to thrive.
ANNUALLY
Health Equity
Only 13% of mental health providers have the awareness and knowledge of military culture required to offer quality care to Veterans and their families. (RAND, 2014) For care to be considered “high-quality,” providers must have received training in military cultural competence. (RAND 2022)
TriWest has been with us since the beginning, funding the development of the healthcare provider education program that allows us to support the overall well-being of those who serve and the families who serve alongside
them. This program provided over 8,800 healthcare providers with access to online courses accredited for Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
Further, thanks to the generous donation of a Vietnam Veteran and his family, we are now offering training to healthcare students across the country ensuring they are prepared to serve Veterans on Day One in their work.

Firearms & Suicide in the Military-Connected Community
With more and more of our military population dependent on civilian healthcare, it is crucial that providers understand how to best serve their needs.

Military Children
Military and Veteran children serve also and often struggle with constant moves, deployments and the other challenges that come with military life. Communities, teachers, and healthcare providers need to know how to support them too. Thanks to the support of Disabled American Veterans (DAV), we partnered with Camp Corral to develop “15 Things Military and Veteran Children Want You to Know.”

Community College Professor
I was able to use what I learned in the main course, “15 Things Veterans Want You to Know,” just yesterday, and I was amazed at the transformation in the relationship between myself and my student Veteran.
Caregiver
“Being a caregiver is hard enough, and there is very little out there to help guide you. These classes are the guidepost, they help us as caregivers navigate this often confusing, new reality.”
Counselor
“I am a mother of a
Veteran and a
professional
counselor, so I am so
happy to be able to
begin to understand
my son’s world.”
Workforce Development
Roughly 200k service members transition every year, and most struggle to find their next mission. Employers need and value the skills and experience these men and women bring to the workplace. Through a partnership with Comcast NBC Universal, over 675 organizations have been trained on courses covering a variety of topics in support of Veteran and military spouse recruitment, hiring, and onboarding.
