Understanding Service Through the End of Life: A Community of Practice Session

Start: January 26, 2026 11:00 AM

As Veterans grow older, their service does not disappear into the past. It often returns through memory, story, silence, and meaning especially through the end of life. For those walking alongside Veterans in hospice, palliative care, or family caregiving roles, understanding military culture is not optional; it is foundational to compassionate and dignified care.

Join PsychArmor for a Community of Practice session with Dr. Qwynn Galloway-Salazar and Dr. Heidi Kraft as we explore how military culture and the guiding principles behind 15 Things Veterans Want You to Know shape how we show up for Veterans through the end of life. During this session, we will reflect on how service, identity, and moral meaning may surface during serious illness, caregiving, and the dying process and how culturally responsive care can deepen trust, connection, and presence.

This is an intentional space to pause, reflect, and learn together, offering shared insight and practical wisdom for those committed to honoring Veterans and their families through one of life’s most sacred transitions.
