Meghan Swope is an experienced communications strategist with a proven track record of successfully advocating for increased federal funding for medical research, increasing social media engagement and producing rich written content for newsletters, websites and media.
In her capacity as an Account Supervisor at CURA Strategies, Meghan currently serves as a lead communications specialist for PsychArmor, former Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy (D-RI) and the Kennedy Forum. She also develops strategic messaging for the bipartisan Advocates for Opioid Recovery.
Previously, Meghan was a media advocacy specialist at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN). In this role, Meghan led ACS CAN’s national advertising and social media strategy.
Meghan’s previous experience also includes supporting the public affairs efforts of both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. While working for Fleishman-Hillard, Meghan led media monitoring efforts surrounding the Marine Week St. Louis event, developed social media content for the Marine Corps Scholarship Fund, and wrote content for the Marine Corps Connection newsletter. In 2009, Meghan supported the U.S. Army’s Operation Tribute to Freedom, assisting returning soldiers as they re-engaged with their communities through speaking engagements, interactions with charity organizations, and interview opportunities with local media.
