Military Sexual Trauma

Intended for healthcare providers of all types who treat military service members and military and Veteran-connected patients, Military Sexual Trauma is narrated by Dr. Margret Bell, Deputy Director for Military Sexual Trauma at the Department of Veterans Affairs. This course provides critical clinical information about military sexual trauma (MST), which is defined as sexual assault or sexual harassment during military service. Dr. Bell will define MST and describe the health and general impact of MST on Veterans' lives for healthcare learners. Providers will understand the screening process they should use to assess Veterans for MST, and be able to describe the MST-related services available from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Finally, strategies for effective clinical engagement with Veterans who have experienced MST are discussed.
