PsychArmor Institute’s course, “Choosing a College and Major” provides service members, Veterans, and their families with tools and resources to assist them in achieving their dreams of higher education. This course also discusses factors in selecting a major and choosing a higher education experience that aligns with their needs.

Each year, more than 200,000 service members leave the military in pursuit of higher education. PsychArmor Institute’s course, “Choosing a College and Major” discusses the array of options available to service members, Veterans and their families when selecting a major and choosing a school that aligns with their needs. An overview of the many tools and resources available to aid in their decision is provided.
This course is narrated by Jared Lyon, president and CEO of Student Veterans of America, a U.S. Navy Veteran and longtime advocate for higher education. Lyon has served as the Vice Chair for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Veteran’s Advisory Committee and commissioner for the American Council’s Education Commission for Education Attainment and Innovation.
