LAURA WERBER, Ph.D.
Laura Werber is a senior management scientist at the RAND Corporation and a member of the Pardee RAND Graduate School faculty. She applies organizational theories and methods to a wide array of policy issues, including community-based health care, workforce management, and military families. Her recent military-sponsored projects include ones related to veteran reintegration, sexual assault, defense acquisition workforce management, and military child care. Her domestic research projects have focused on issues facing large, urban communities, such as law enforcement recruiting and the role of religious congregations in AIDS-related care and support. Cutting across policy areas, Dr. Werber has frequently engaged in program assessments and process improvement efforts that involve organizational issues such as design, culture, coordination, and measuring effectiveness. Werber received her B.S. in economics (cum laude) from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and her Ph.D. in organizational behavior from Stanford University.
