In this course you will learn: how to thoroughly assess the needs of transitioning veterans; about the primary issues facing transitioning vets; about the array of resources, both veteran specific and non-veteran specific that are available; about the role of advocacy in linking vets to services; the tricks of the trade in getting veterans in the door at organizations that can help them; about organizations that have arisen to fill gaps; about the challenges that exist in serving vets;  how to provide ongoing support while helping vets with all of this; how to manage and assist vets with PTSD, TBI and other difficult issues; how to assess and triage crises; how to manage worker/client relationships over phone and email.
