COURSE OVERVIEW

Supporting a Veteran in Crisis is designed for employers or those who wish to become employers of veterans.It provides information regarding how to help employers recognize the warning signs that a Veteran (or anyone) might be heading for a crisis, how to approach a Veteran employee and what steps to take to help a Veteran that may be in the middle of an acute crisis.The goal of the course is to help employers understand that Veterans are the same as any other employee in that they appreciate values such as respect, empathy, and concern. By understanding this, guidelines presented in this course for how to approach a Veteran heading toward or currently in a crisis can be generalized to any employee.
