Joining Easter Seals in 2000, Jed Johnson initially provided strategic leadership nationally supporting services for adults and seniors. He then served for three years as Director of the National Center on Senior Transportation, a partnership with the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging. In 2011, Mr. Johnson assumed responsibility for the National Veteran Caregiver Training Program, a VA contract has provided multi-model training opportunities for over 30,000 Veteran caregivers. Additional strategic partnerships have been established with USO, Elizabeth Dole Foundation, and others. In January of 2015, he joined Easter Seal's management team in the role of Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, leading Easter Seals headquarters' federal initiatives and supporting efforts in the caregiving, adult, respite, and elder care arenas.

Prior to joining Easter Seals, Mr. Johnson worked for 10 years in the greater Pittsburgh area overseeing home-health care, home delivered meals, adult day services, outreach in Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities, hospice, and other home and community services for faith-based long term care providers.

At the national level, he serves/has served as a board member and in other leadership roles with the American Society on Aging, National Day Services Association, Generations United, National MS Society, CARF, and the Oberlin College Alumni Association. Mr. Johnson holds a joint-master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of Business and in social work from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social Policy and Practice.
